ISA
The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is a worldwide professional organization dedicated to fostering a greater appreciation for trees and to promote research, technology and professional practice of arboriculture and urban forestry. ISA serves more than 37,000 members and credential holders worldwide.
The ISA developed and administers the Certified Arborist program the continuing education requirements necessary to remain a Certified Arborist.

ISA Certified Arborist
Arborist Certification is a process by which individual practitioners are tested to demonstrate a certain standard od tree care knowledge. Professional certification is a voluntary process that recognizes an individual who has met specific qualifications.
Certified Arborist must be recertified every 3 years. Within that time frame they must complete continuing education units (ceu’s) to remain current and relevant as science and technology changes occur in our industry.
TCIA
The Tree Care Industry Association, established in 1938 as the National Arborist Association, works to professionalize the tree care industry through the development of educational and safety programs for companies. Designations include Certified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) and TCIA Accredited Business. TCIA is comprised of more than 2,200 tree care and affiliated companies. We are accredited thru the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). TCIA Accreditation is a consumer confidence program administered by the Tree Care Industry Association – America’s oldest and most respected tree care trade association. The TCIA Accreditation program is built on the threefold foundation of ethics, quality and consumer confidence.

ASCA represents Consulting Arborists – the authoritative experts on trees, and whose objective, comprehensive viewpoint ensures the safety, health and preservation of trees. Our members’ extensive level of knowledge and experience makes them highly sought after by consumers, professionals, and other arborists.
